Teachers shall have additional duties/projects as assigned by the Administration. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in the field of Education
- PA Certification
- An understanding of teaching and the duties of a teacher as an educational leader.
- Eligibility to hold a valid Instructional certificate as issued by the Department of Education, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Demonstrated ability to work with various groups of people in an educational environment.
- Ability to use initiative and innovation in planning and implementing programs and procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively with peers and providers.
- Moderate computer literacy and efficiency.

Primary Duties:
- Programs
- In conjunction with the Administrators and staff, ensures that the District's philosophy of education; educational goals and policies are achieved.
- Ensures that State and Federal mandates are followed.
- Collaborates with the Administration, staff, students and community to develop an efficient, effective and current curriculum that is aligned with state and federal standards and Board policies.
- Works with Administration, staff, students and community to acquire needed instructional supplies and equipment.
- Ensures that all Board approved programs and curriculum are delivered.
- Serves as the instructional leader with a focus on providing educational programs that comply with state, federal, district, student staff and community needs.
- Works with various software and hardware to deliver instruction and aggregate data.
- Students
- Educate students.
- Establishes a consistent classroom; instructional schedule and maintains an orderly learning environment.
- Monitors the curricular program to ensure that it meets local, state and federal mandates and includes detailed assessment, promotion, retention and reporting procedures.
- Maintains a curricular program and standards that are designed to meet established graduation requirements and to provide for post-graduation success.
- Develops and implements procedures to maintain a safe learning environment.
- In conjunction with the Board, Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, administration, and staff develops and implements a disciplinary policy that meets the requirements of all applicable laws and mandates while preserving the instructional integrity and safety of the classroom.

- Plans and coordinates student recognition activities.
- Schedule all mandated testing as required.
- Evaluate test data and coordinate an action plan to improve student performance as required.

Human Relations / Contact and Communications: Frequent interaction with school age children and youth. Regular communication with student population parents or caretakers in a timely manner. Frequently checks and responds to email and other electronic communications. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: The working conditions for this position are in a classroom, office, or gym setting with inside environmental conditions In addition, there may be assignments that have limited outdoor exposures.
