Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage data entry and ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle a high volume of transactions.Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry: - Accurately enter invoice data into the accounting system.
- Ensure all entries are complete and correct, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Invoice Processing: - Receive and review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval.
- Code and match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
Payment Processing: - Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and follow up on outstanding balances.
Record Maintenance: - Maintain vendor files and ensure all information is up to date.
- Keep accurate records of all transactions and ensure proper documentation.
Communication: - Liaise with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues.
- Respond to inquiries regarding invoice status and payment processing.
Reconciliation: - Assist in month-end closing and reconciliation of accounts payable transactions.
- Prepare and maintain accounts payable reports as required.
Compliance: - Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable laws.
- Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
