Job Description:

Spherion staffing is supporting a local Home Owners Association in their search for an Accounts Payable Clerk. An Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for managing and processing invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors, and maintaining accurate financial records to support the company's financial operations. This is a temp to hire opportunity Responsibilities: - Maintains accounts payable documentation. - Processes weekly disbursements. - Assists with account reconciliations. - Performs general accounting duties as needed. - Maintains all aspects of owner accounts. - File sales and use tax returns monthly. - Ability to operate computer and other general office equipment. - Posts invoices to proper accounts. - Processes check runs and cuts manual checks as required. - Ensures that the Association policy regarding obtaining proper authorization signatures is followed. - Assists as backup for the Business Office Coordinator when needed and with any other clerical work in the Finance Department. - Abides by all current policies and procedures. Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Skills: - Knowledge of NorthStar app preferred. - Strong ability to prioritize and organize workload. - Strong initiative and willingness to take on projects in a proactive manner. - Normal office physical demands. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand, and lift up to 40 pounds. - Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time. - Moderate noise level in the work environment. - Good interpersonal skills and must display patience and diplomacy when dealing with owners and others. Education: High School Experience: 1-4 years Qualifications: - Associates degree in accounting a plus. - Accounts payable experience a plus. - Prior accounting experience required. - Solid understanding of Excel, Outlook, and Word. - Ability to pass National Background Screening and Drug Screen There are several ways to apply!
