River's Gate/Carrollwood located in Middle River, MD, is in need of a qualified worker to join our service team. This person will be expected to respond to maintenance work orders, perform preventative maintenance as directed, and prepare units for move-in. Ideal candidates will work well both with a team and individually. Excellent customer service skills required; some prior experience in residential maintenance is preferred. ***The salary for this position is $20 an hour based on experience, also with bonus and allowance opportunities*** At WPM your job as a Service Technician is to respond to maintenance repair requests, perform preventative maintenance, and prepare units for move-in for new residents. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance
- Hanging, prepping, and sanding drywall
- Electrical repairs
- Upkeep and repair of appliances
- Plumbing work
- Painting common areas and apartments
- Maintaining cleanliness, order, and safety on the property's grounds
- Assisting with snow removal
- Participating in a rotating on-call schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage for emergencies
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated plumbing, electrical, or carpentry skills required
- Must be available on-call for emergencies on evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver's license, vehicle and travel required,
- Able to troubleshoot minor electrical problems within various types of fixtures and equipment
- Required to work on ladders, lift to a height up to 85'
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years' experience in site maintenance required
