This position services Jenkins County schools and some Emanuel County schools.JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:Summary: This school-based therapist will be responsible for providing services related to delivery of mental health care to assigned clients at the designated school locations and will provide consultation services to the school staff to support the overall mental health goals of the school. Travel to and from schools is required. Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide direct mental health services to include intake assessments, individual/family, group therapy and crisis intervention to assigned clients. Maintain regular contact with parent/guardian of each client (if appropriate). Complete individualized treatment plans, treatment plan updates, behaviors assessment updates, and safety plans. Complete case management to include being aware of managed care authorizations, current insurance statuses, and other chart compliances. Complete the following assessments: Child & Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) &/or Adults Needs and Strengths (ANSA), Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSR), and other required assessments. Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and clinical supervision. Provide consultation for school staff regarding mental health issues of clients (as appropriate). Maintain confidentiality. Participate in the collection of mental health information and student outcomes to be used for monitoring the overall performance and effectiveness services provided, to include but not limited to getting parent surveys completed, obtaining school data on student absences and disciplinary referrals. Maintains approximately 70% direct services (billable services) and 30% non-billable services (i.e., prevention, education and early intervention services, faculty consultation, student services, team staffing support groups for students, parent education, staff meetings, and in-service trainings.) Other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills:
Must possess a strong knowledge of the common diagnosis and treatment for school-aged children and possess the skills necessary to facilitate positive change in a school environment. Time management and conflict resolution skills are preferred. Basic computer skills and a knowledge of Microsoft Programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel required. Education/Experience:
A master's degree from an accredited university or college in the field of psychology, social work, counseling education, or human services field. Actively enrolled in a master's program from an accredited university or college in the field of psychology, social work, counseling education, or human services field. Licensed in the State of Georgia to provide mental health services (LPC, LAPC, LCSW, LMFT etc.) preferred. **Pay rate offered varies depending on licenses and other qualifications.** 40 Hour Work Week Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
