APP House Night / RRT Part Time
POSITION SUMMARY: * In a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, contributes professional and clinical expertise to ensure the delivery of best in class care to hospitalized patients * Leads Rapid Responses called on Hospitalized patients to ensure early intervention and improved outcomes * Leads ACLS Codes called on Hospitalized patients who are deteriorating or are in crisis * Performs procedures based on hospital privileges i.e. placing intravenous lines, NG tubes etc. * Assists in prompt critical patient issues * Performs physical exams and clinical evaluations * Orders and reviews diagnostic tests * Orders and monitors medications * Coordinates the transition to higher level of care as needed * Manages communication between team and PCP * Participates as a Member of the TVH CODE committee * Participates in quality assessment and performance improvement activities * Opportunity to train and work in critical care on a rotating basis, train to be privileged in procedures, such as arterial and central lines. Serves on call and weekend rotation as required EDUCATION: * Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner in Acute Care * A Master's Degree is required OR Current Certification as a Physician's Assistant in New Jersey
EXPERIENCE: * Critical care experience desired SPECIAL SKILLS: * Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life support * Serves on call and weekend rotation as required
