St. James Hospital is currently seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Full-Time APP for our Urgent Care Department. The responsibilities include direct care for adult medical patients in collaboration with the attending; admission workups, daily management of all patients on the unit including transfer/discharge with a heavy emphasis on discharge planning, and Interdisciplinary Rounding. Other responsibilities may include participation in educational conferences, student precepting, and support of unit-based nurses and leadership. Applicant must be motivated, flexible, and independent and possess excellent clinical skills.RequirementsNurse Practitioner: Minimum Education: Master's or doctorate degree in a nurse practitioner specialty areaRequired Certification/Registration:
- Certified by the New York State Education Department as a Nurse Practitioner with certifications in one if the following areas: Acute Care, Adult Health; Family Health
- Active and Unrestricted D.E.A. Certificate
- ACLS and BLS certifications required upon hire
Physician Assistant:
- Graduate from an Accredited Physician Assistant educational program
- NCCPA Certification
- DEA Certification
- ACLS and BLS certifications required upon hire
- Active DEA license
- Experience as a Physician Assistant preferred but not required
Salary Description Pay range $98,008 -$129,910 per year
