This designer will be responsible for designing categories for the Real Essentials brand and/or it's licensed subsidiaries. This person must be collaborative and receptive to feedback to sure the success of the product line.
Responsibilities
- Will be responsible for the design and development of ready-to-wear categories including activewear, loungewear, dresses and other apparel categories
- Create original and innovative designs that are aligned with the brand guidelines and personality of the brand
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and determine white space in our assortment regarding style, fabric and silhouette
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and must be comfortable managing several projects at once
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in Apparel Design
- Bachelor's degree in design or related field or relevant work experience
- Self-starter, team player, strong follow up skills, and sense of urgency. Must be deadline oriented.
- Strong knowledge fabric, fitting, grading, construction, and technologies relevant to performance apparel is necessary.
- Strong understanding of design, development, and merchandising process from inception through production.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant tools
