Who We Are Looking For:

We are currently seeking an Associate Designer to work at our South Hackensack, NJ Office for the Capelli Sport brand. This is a full-time position in our South Hackensack office working 5 days a week. The associate designer will be responsible for assisting in all phases of the design and development process from initial concept to production for men's, women's and youth activewear.

Responsibilities:

Sketch and revise cads and artwork in Adobe Illustrator

Create and revise overview line sheets, assign style numbers

Create and maintain tech packs in the PLM system

Measure reference samples and add measurements in the PLM system

Review and comment on development samples received

Attend live and form fittings, make comments and revisions

Conduct research as needed

Assist in sourcing fabrics and trims

Attend customer meetings as needed

Skills and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in fashion design is required

Preferred experience of 2-3 years; activewear is a MUST

Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Strong sense of the design process, apparel construction/size specs, fabric, and embellishments

Must possess exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Ability to remain flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient while under pressure is crucial

Ability to prioritize, multi task, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment in order to meet deadlines

Encompass a positive attitude and work ethic, with exceptional follow up skills

Must have the ability to be punctual, prepared, and professional
