This role supports our strategic expansion, particularly in managing our licensed brands, adidas & Carhartt Kids. As part of our growing team, you'll develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with our business goals.Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global sourcing strategy that aligns with business objectives and optimizes cost, quality, and lead times.
- Manage the entire sourcing process, from identifying potential vendors and negotiating contracts to managing production and ensuring on-time delivery.
- Conduct market research and identify new and reliable vendors across the globe, with a focus on target regions such as Southeast Asia and Central America.
- Evaluate new and existing vendors based on quality standards, pricing, production capabilities, ethical labor practices, and social responsibility compliance.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts with vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
- Oversee production and manage relationships with factories to ensure adherence to specifications, quality control standards, and delivery timelines.
- Manage and analyze cost structures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize pricing.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across various departments, including design, production, and logistics.
- Stay up to date on global trade regulations, import/export procedures, and industry trends in apparel sourcing.
Role Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in apparel sourcing, ideally within a global environment.
- Skills:
- Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing sourcing strategies that improve cost efficiency and product quality.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and Incoterms.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PLM-related software.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex data sets.
- Ability to travel internationally as needed (a plus).
- Passion for the apparel industry and a keen eye for detail.
