Application Analyst
Works with departments to assist with the planning, selection and implementation of information systems. Coordinates and assesses equipment upgrades and provides user support. Responsible for the testing, installation and support of software applications. The analyst acts as a liaison between end users, third parties and vendors.
Requires the analytical ability to evaluate, recommend and implement accurate, efficient and economical information solutions not only for user identified needs but also for organizational needs / requests. Excellent problem identification and troubleshooting skills are essential. An Application Analyst must possess the ability to work alone with minimal supervision and thus must have the skills of being self-directed and self-motivated.
Provides ongoing education both formal and informal to all populations served. Works with system vendors to implement detailed specifications, modifications and testing of software.
The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this position:
Associates degree in a clinical, business, allied health, or information systems field or equivalent experience required. Bachelors or Masters degree preferred. Licensure and/or clinical certification required, if applicable to the degree. Healthcare, leadership and/or project management experience desirable
On-call rotation with IS Application Support Team.
