** Application Delivery Manager**
73516 Zurich is currently searching for an Application Delivery Manager to work out of our Zurich North American headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.
This position will be part of Zurichs Core Platforms ADM (Application Development and Maintenance) Team that will be responsible for focusing on the delivery of multi-year, multi-million-dollar programs of moderate to high complexity with multiple stakeholders. They will also contribute to application development, maintenance and improvement of a portfolio of business applications, managing relationships with business and outsourcing partners to address application performance issues and drive service improvement.
The Application Delivery Lead will have responsibility in working with the business in prioritizing deliverables as the single point of contact, which will also include understanding
and working with business requirements, functional development teams, multiple vendor teams, and the testing and quality teams in implementing development software into production as this individual contributor will drive and deliver on strategic initiatives. The essential duties will also include Salesforce expertise where the Application Delivery Manager will deliver, manage, support, and maintain the Salesforce application from a commercial lines framework within an Agile methodology/scrum master environment and will be accountable for delivering large projects, thus modernizing the programs utilizing a detailed understanding of insurance, processes, and business systems.
The Application Delivery Manager may also be responsible for:
* Full Cycle Project Management
* Leading projects as a Scrum Master
* Risk/Issue management
* Vendor management - Testing, IT support and Product Vendor and in reviewing statuses with vendors and providing direction
* All aspects of the development and implementation of assigned IT projects, enhancements, compliance and regulatory changes and acts as a single point of contact for those initiatives
* Taking business ask from original concept through final implementation utilizing the Agile methodology, and interfacing with all areas affected by the project including end users, executive leadership, vendor teams, computer services, and client services
* Defining project objectives and scope, project delivery roadmaps, estimates, and resource plans
* Management of project finances including work orders and invoicing
* Providing critical project and enhancement updates to business leadership via steering committee meetings, including status, resource planning, production metrics and assists with prioritization of new requirements
* Prioritization of work with different business stakeholders and business units
* Making systematic and rational judgment during outage or release implementation issues and following up on production issues
* Demonstrating an understanding of industry trends, commercial insurance business concepts, opportunities and constraints in the environment
* Creating an environment of trust and cooperation through an open exchange of ideas towards achieving team goals
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the IT area
OR
* High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the IT area
OR
* Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the IT area
AND
* 4 or more years maintaining IT hardware and software
* Experience with IT architecture and infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in the insurance industry, specifically commercial insurance
* Experience with Salesforce
* Experience with Agile methodology and leading Scrum teams
* Experience with MuleSoft Service Oriented Architecture concepts and technology
* Experience with ETL concepts and technology
* Experience with data query tools to perform data analysis and validation
* Experience with collaborating across many teams
* Strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage vendor resources under a distributed model
* Experience delivering high quality system changes on time and on budget
