Application Developer, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (Up to 90% telecommuting permitted): Design, develop and support application solutions with focus on portal solutions. Identify major components, packages, and products to be included in proposed solution design based on requirements and cost considerations. Determine extent of customization required for proposed solution design. Develop high-level descriptions of technical requirements to enable the development of a solution. Create prototypes of application solutions to test interfaces, capacity, and technical requirements. Oversee development to avoid early design decisions that may adversely impact subsequent development efforts. Perform low level designs including code based on specification, existing modules, and testing. Utilize: AngularJS, Apache Camel, Spring and Java script, VS COBOL II, CICS, JCL. Required: Master s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Technical Lead, System Engineer or related.
