**Job Description**

BAE Systems is offering an exciting opportunity to support an important and dynamic Department of Justice customer as an **Application Developer** supporting a highly capable and diverse team driving technical innovation. You will design, develop, refactor, enhance, test and evaluate, and support software applications currently hosted on-premises to be hosted within the AWS GovCloud instance compliant with government policy directives (PD) and guides (PG) mandated to ensure legal and information security compliance. This shall include analysis of the existing system in collaboration with other team members and Government PM, and designing an appropriate solution. Candidates shall be skilled in multiple web application languages, reverse engineering, and have a background in building scalable, user intuitive, high-quality and high performing web applications. The application enhancements or modifications may include business and process changes to applications/systems as well as coordination with other integrated and non-customer software systems. The successful candidate will work alongside infrastructure, development, and managerial team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues. You will:

1. Support the Government s effort to obtain and maintain an authority-to- operate (ATO) and protect the security posture of the program systems and applications;

2. Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills;

3. Provide Government personnel instruction, guidance, and documentation; and

4. Be willing to learn new technical disciplines and to become a resident expert within a team.

5. If requested, be able to attend CCB meetings with the Government to represent the Team

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

**Required Experience, Skill, and Education:**

+ .Net Core 7/8

+ React

+ Azure - just the fundamentals is fine

+ Microservices - Knowledge of SOAP, but moving to RESTful APIs

+ Front End - HTML, Javascript,CSS, Typescript

+ Postgres

+ Agile Team

+ Linux - minimal with commands, enough to navigate on the boxes, Docker containers

+ GitLab - both as their ticketing system but also understanding GitLab CI/CD

**Minimum Education** :Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Computer Science, Software

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

**Desired Qualifications:**

One (1) or more years of experience with cloud application development and management.

**Pay Information**

Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
