Responsibilities / Tasks
We are currently seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to support our Regional Managers in their sales efforts, coordinate order details and logistics, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Regional Managers to provide support in sales efforts, including preparing quotations for highly engineered capital equipment.
- Coordinate machine order details and logistics with customers and our manufacturing facility in Italy.
- Maintain and update project database, preparing reports for management and supporting aftermarket sales group.
- Provide sales estimates, troubleshoot equipment installed base, and assist technical sales and service for the homogenizer market.
- Act as a technical product expert during customer visits, promoting sales and addressing customer inquiries.
- Conduct customer training sessions to enhance their knowledge of the equipment.
- Develop trusted relationships with customers by providing support during troubleshooting visits.
- Perform market research studies on equipment competitiveness.
- Manage all phases of the machine sales and order execution process, including quotation, procurement, fabrication, delivery, and commissioning.
- Collaborate across departments, including sales, service, aftermarket spare parts, commercial, and logistics, to develop effective customer solutions and drive satisfaction.
- Serve as a liaison between the North American sales team and the European manufacturing plant.
- Match customer requirements with GEA product offerings to develop customized equipment solutions.
- Specify technical requirements of GEA-built equipment with the factory.
- Source and size domestically purchased auxiliary components, such as control panels, pumps, heat exchangers, motors, etc.
- Review technical and engineering documentation to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness.
- Utilize SAP and equipment database software for efficient data gathering and execution of business processes.
- Conduct audits on new equipment orders to ensure technical accuracy.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate Degree in a related business environment. A degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Food Science Engineering is a plus.
- Ideally, 2+ years of experience in a sales environment. New graduates with relevant qualifications will be considered.
- Proficiency in PC skills, including the MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
