Required Years Experience: 10 Substitution Criteria: 10 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education Location: Albany NY Job Summary The Application & Packaging Systems Engineer concentrates on system definition, design, and maturation while making use of the systems engineering specialties to develop satisfactory and feasible system concepts certified for client use. You will establish and define the structure of the system, to create, test, deploy, monitor, manage and update SCCM packages including development, definition, and documentation of core design features and Concept of Operations, and the vision for how the system should evolve over time, and maintain the product technical baselines. Recommend possible solutions to complex or ambiguous client challenges and apply advanced consulting expertise to define scope and appropriate approach to new assignments. Position is on client site fulltime at Albany Labs (VA) in Albany New York. Must Have: 5+ years of SCCM Systems experience in a professional work environment supporting Desktop Engineering functions Experience collaborating with system owners, stakeholders, and clients to define requirements, needs, and provide recommendations on solutions Experience with Application Packaging, Application Package Testing, Package deployment, Distribution Point remediation, Operating System Deployment (OSD) including driver packaging), Patch Management, USMT, Asset Intelligence, Internet-based Client Management Experience and hands on understanding with tools Orchestrator, Operations Manager and Service Manager Experience and technical knowledge using Active Directory, creation, testing, and managing Group Policies Experience defining and documenting engineering logic to create, test, deploy, monitor and manage package builds and baselines for operation system images Experience assessing and testing baseline and application packages, bug fixes, as well as preparing baselines for onsite field testing Experience with a variety of software packaging programs, programing, and languages Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or technical equivalent and 10 years professional experience or a total of 20 years in lieu of education Nice to Have: Experienced with the Veteran Affairs Networking SCCM Microsoft Deployment ToolKit (MDT) UEFI Bios PXC Boot toolset Imaging process Imaging hardware set-up (power, racks, cabling, and server/network connections) Imaging packages for custom software load optimization
