Job Description:

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ and Plano, TX. This is a 12 + month contract position.Responsibilities:Responsible for developing complex requirements, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications in the Financial Crimes technology to accomplish business goalsDesign, code, test, debug and document programs as well as support activities for the maintaining the applicationWork closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applicationsUtilize in-depth knowledge of business requirements, business environments, and technological alternatives to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organizationResponsible for providing insight and direction from a data perspective, assessment of impact on technology systems and participation in the full development lifecycle of the capability being deliveredContribute to story refinement/defining requirementsEstimate work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecyclePerform proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideasSetup and automate continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelineHandle technical aspects of the application, including Change Management, Maintenance, Platform Upgrades, and Changes to requirements from both upstream and downstream interfacing applicationsWork with a team of Data Analysts and Developers related to Data to ensure best practice and governance is followedPromote and apply best practices and standards at a project, program levelPartner with the business to develop plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain the change. Accountable for analyzing present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementationEffectively communicates with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables and timelinesResponsible for being Agile and following agile practiceEnsure all Enterprise Change Standards are metRequirements:BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative disciplineTalented and highly motivated Teradata Developer with at least 10+ years of experienceStrong understanding of the Teradata platform, and demonstrated experience in hands-on solution architecture and end-to-end application designDemonstrated data sourcing, data analysis and modeling skills with the ability to build innovative data provisioning models to support large scale financial crimes data sourcing initiativesExperience in Teradata 16.x, SQL/BTEQ scripting, TPT, Informatica 10.x UNIX Shell scripting, Autosys, Cloudera CDP, Hadoop (Hive, Impala, PySpark, Scala) and Data analysisStrong Data sourcing, data modelling and provisioning skills as related to support large scale AML monitoring and surveillance data assetsExecuted database intensive development, data migrations and conversionsKnowledge and experience working with SQL performance tuningAbility to multitask and take on multiple projects at onceGood at engaging Business stakeholders and apt at Business engagement and requirement discoveryGood experience in SDLC, Agile, Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery, and change management (CICD) - Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, AnsibleGood knowledge of Unix and development of shell scriptsEffective communication and listening skillsSoftware development in Agile environmentDesired skills:Business knowledge in financial domains related to Anti-Money Laundering and Financial CrimesPay Range: $58.26 - $66.26Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!About Genesis10:Ranked a Top Staffing Firm in the U.S. by Staffing Industry Analysts for six consecutive years, Genesis10 puts thousands of consultants and employees to work across the United States every year in contract, contract-for-hire, and permanent placement roles.
