The Application Specialist will be responsible for understanding customers' requirements, identifying the best Avtron product to fit customers' needs, estimating Avtron costs to produce, and developing quotes for customers.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Identify and advise customers and sales team members on the Avtron product that best meets customers' needs by understanding customers applications, projects, and intended load bank use.Review customer specifications to determine customer needs and requirements.Coordinate with engineering, suppliers, supply chain, and other cross-functional teams to estimate costs to produce custom products.Develop pricing for custom products by developing cost estimates and considering other market factors.Assist in gaining customer approvals of submittal drawings by reviewing product features, accessories, and other design options with customers.Approve quotes for standard equipment by verifying proper profitability, lead times, and product configurations are included.Assist in troubleshooting field repairs by communicating with customers to understand load bank operation problems, reviewing product drawings, consulting Avtron engineering, and providing repair instructions to customers.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Education: A 4-year degree is required, preferably in a business or engineering field.Experience: 0-5 years of directly related professional level experience. Should have significant technical proficiency, potential for planning, good judgment, willingness to accept responsibility, and the ability to communicate, follow through, and give technical direction.
