Job Title: Application Support

Location: Pittsburgh, PA, Dallas, TX, Columbus, OH, Cincinnati, OH, Birmingham, AL – Hybrid (1-2 days a week in Office)

Duration: 06 Months Contract To Hire

Only W2

Working Hours (Flexible): M-F ( 8-5pm) -- On Call possible -- flexed within 40 hr. work week; stability and soundness of the application; (Rotated amongst the team)

Job Description

Current initiatives/project(s) that this resource will be impacting:

  • Overall operational support -- Application support for stability and soundness, troubleshoot, monitor infrastructure and applications
  • Internal Critical Facing Applications including:
  • Transaction Monitoring
  • Analytical AML and Risk Models
  • Meet Transaction Reporting
  • Currency Transaction Reporting
  • FIN Track Reporting

Industry background

  • Banking
  • Operational support in a banking domain
  • Operational resiliency experience

Dynamic of the team and where this candidate will fit into the overall environment (i.e., number of team members, roles and titles they will be working with, team culture, etc.):

A team of approximately 4-12 associates including:

• Support Engineers

Meeting:

• Daily

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitoring ETL jobs
  • Track user issues
  • Work with users to determine issues with net software
  • Support business continuity management and assimilated disaster recovery events to be prepared for real world disaster recovery
  • Perform code upgrades without supervision.
  • Be responsible for, and master multiple subject matter areas of responsibilities.
  • Identify and document best practices within their subject matter areas of expertise.
  • Provide continuous process improvement suggestions.
  • Maintain and document Standard Operating Procedures.

Paying special attention that candidates are proficient in production Support involving the following Technologies:

  • PySpark
  • Python script
  • Hadoop
  • Hive environment

Must have technical skills/experience (ask for alternative/tool/version) of the position in priority order:

  • ITIL - ITOM/ITSM Knowledge and experience
  • Production Support experience
  • Experience being in a support team in a versatile changing environment.
  • Experience managing Infrastructure drift between multiple environments.
  • Experience to analyze the code written in JAVA, J2EE, Spring Boot and Angular. Also experience to support OpenShift containerized Platforms.
  • Experience in monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Big Panda.
  • Experience in managing Operating Systems upgrades such as Linux, Widows, Oracle, SQL
  • Experience in writing complex queries using ORACLE PL/SQL to build the reports based on Business demand.
  • A great understanding of risk controls and compliance standards to goals.
  • Strong background in troubleshooting and remediation techniques.

Degrees or certifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred and not required
