**Job Description**

Our Application Support Specialist is a critical contributorto our entire company. This position requires exceptional ability to assess needs, define requirements, manage tasks and prioritize work. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. The most important quality is a get it done work ethic. Here are some examples of the actual work your day would include.

**Application Support**

* Provide direct employee application support for the following software applications: SalesPad, ShipCenter, DataCollection, Dynamics GP and the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products

* Analyze, test and troubleshoot application related issues and implement new software and product releases

* Perform initial triage on all new application issues

* Interface with 3rd party vendors for technical support and fixes

* Develop standard operating procedures for common technical issues

* Prioritize helpdesk functions to minimize customer impact

* Consult on automating processes as well as creating documentation and instructions

* Maintain IT department technical documentation and support ticket system

* Research and resolve inquiries in a professional, timely and accurate manner

* Identify faults, issues and recommend appropriate paths to resolution as appropriate

* Write, edit and proofread technical documentation, user manuals and training manuals

**Job Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you need to have a certain amount of knowledge, skills and experience:

* At least 1 year in application support

* Minimum of 1 year working with SQL database

* Experience creating support documentation a must

* Provide excellent customer service and support

* Exceptional organization and coordination skill sets

This position requires manual dexterity for typing, sitting at a desk and looking at a computer screen for long periods of time. In addition, portions of the position may include shadowing of other departments that may require physical activity including lifting 25-35 pounds and standing for long periods of time.

We need an Application Support Specialist that has a positive attitude and the words can't and impossible are not a part of your vocabulary.

**Availability**

You must be available to work between the hours of 7am and 6pm Monday Friday with the occasional evening or Saturday for projects that must be done outside of normal business hours.
