Job Overview: The **Application Support Specialist** will provide the day-to-day support to the multi-component NYRA Bets Advanced Deposit Wagering (ADW) platform that includes the hosted web environment of wagering sites. In addition, they will attend to all parts of the ADW and wagering platform to ensure optimal software application and performance and provide technical assistance and support related to on-track wagering tablets.

Responsibilities:

* Provide support for NYRAs ADW Platforms;

* Pro-actively follow up with users, track, and monitor all open/pending wagering support tickets.

* Develop effective communication lines with our software/data/service providers and escalate technical issues when necessary;

* Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with the Advance Deposit Wagering system;

* Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming tickets, telephone calls, voice mail, e-mail and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with NYRAs ADW Platforms;

* Create tickets and track pending issues using various ticketing systems;

* Able to work under pressure and response promptly to address any critical issues that may arise during the hours of operations;

* Understand and respond appropriately to the needs of clients who are encountering systems difficulties related to wagering application and maintaining transparency with timely & accurate feedback.

* Use technical and analytical expertise and knowledge of systems to resolve problems internally or through outside vendors and escalate issues as appropriate to management.

* Install and troubleshoot personal computers, tablets, software and peripheral equipment if needed.

* Provide support for on-track wagering, funding and sign-up tablets.

* Responsible for tablet related equipment and inventory.

Qualifications:

* A degree/certificate in a technical field, such as IT or Computer Science, is preferred.

* Working knowledge of computers, web browsers, operating systems, and mobile devices.

* Good technical troubleshooting skills

* Must be a team player with a strong customer service orientation.

* Able to work under pressure and respond promptly to address any critical issues that arise during hours of operation.

* Ability to work a Wednesday to Sunday schedule on site at all three properties, as required and to cover morning and late-night shifts if/when needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $24.60 per hour
