Job DescriptionApplication AdministratorSummary: The IT Application Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining enterprise and specialized software applications to ensure optimal performance and alignment with business needs. This role involves configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting applications while collaborating with internal teams and vendors to meet organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a customer-focused approach, and technical expertise in application management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Application Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, or other business-specific software.
- Monitor application performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Manage application security, including user access and permissions.
- Technical Support:
- Provide Level 3 support for application-related issues and escalate when necessary.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, minimizing downtime.
- Work closely with end-users to understand and address application challenges.
- Upgrades and Maintenance:
- Schedule and execute application updates, upgrades, and patches in collaboration with vendors or developers.
- Test new application features and functionality to ensure they meet business requirements.
- Collaboration and Documentation:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate applications with other systems.
- Document application processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
- Vendor Management:
- Liaise with software vendors for application support and enhancements.
- Participate in service level agreement (SLA) reviews to ensure vendor compliance.
- Project Support:
- Assist in the implementation of new applications or modules.
- Participate in system migrations and integrations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Salesforce Certified Administrator) are a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:- Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Required Skills:- The ability to work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.
- Proficiency in application management tools and processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with security best practices for application management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Possess the ability to communicate complex and technical concepts to a non-technical, general audience.
Preferred Skills:- Knowledge of databases, SQL queries, and system integration principles.
- Experience with specific enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce).
- Knowledge of scripting languages or tools for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Understanding of cloud-based applications and platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
WORK ENVIRONMENT- Office-based with occasional remote support.
- May require after-hours or on-call availability for critical application issues.
