SUMMARY AND PURPOSE

The Applications Quotation Engineer will be the Liaise with the Commercial team on sales opportunity proposals. This position will Collaborate with the design engineering, operations, procurement, and project management teams to develop sales proposals/quotations in support of the commercial team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Quote sales opportunities within the realm of the company product line and capabilities
  • Conduct an initial technical review of a new sales opportunities
  • Develop pricing, descriptive proposal, and Robotic simulations (when needed).
  • Verify all pertinent information relative to the opportunity is present at final quote
  • Determine appropriate OEM supplier(s) for the opportunity and acquire quote
  • Specify and Quote OEM systems that will be integrated as part of the sales opportunity
  • Collaborate to provide technical support to commercial, quality, and supply chain teams, including application, design and manufacturing best-practices of technical solutions
  • Perform Reverse Engineering / Benchmarking analysis of sales opportunities to assure understanding of customer needs
  • Prepare Job Change Orders (JCO's) identified during production of sales orders
  • Assist with troubleshooting and problem resolution, maintain customer satisfaction, and ensure proper service levels
  • Travel, as required, in support of Commercial activities
  • Consistently demonstrate Pacteon values

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in a design-build and customer manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of secondary packaging equipment (cartoning, case packing, palletizing, and pallet wrapping)
  • Knowledge of robotic systems and, ideally, robot simulation tools
  • Familiarity with labeling, gluing, sealing, product serialization, and other ancillary systems used for packaging
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency with CAD (preferably AutoDesk Inventor).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Working knowledge of Smartsheets preferred
  • Employment Conditions
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record. Occasional travel.
