Key Responsibilities:- Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and provide pre- and post-operative care.
- Conduct physical exams, take patient histories, and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and reports.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-treatment care.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing assistants and other staff.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs and preferences are considered.
Skills and Qualifications:- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty.
- Clinical experience in a healthcare setting; specialty experience may be preferred.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical equipment.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills; compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Includes standing, walking, lifting patients, and performing medical procedures.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards of nursing practice.
