Coordinates Day-To-Day Clinic Operations - Schedules or re-schedules clinic appointments in SHCIS accurately and timely. - Ensures outpatients scheduled for visits are registered in SHCIS and that labels, itinerary, and ID sheet are placed in front of chart. - Sends written notifications of regularly scheduled appointments to patients, families, and Temples. - Gives verbal notification of add-ons and unscheduled appointments to nursing staff upon patient's arrival to clinic. - Types clinic schedules without error and/or retrieves and distributes computer copies by 4:00 pm one dayprior to clinic - Orients all new patients and families to OPD and explain HIPAA/clinic forms prior to completion of initial appointment. Maintains a Clean and Orderly Working Environment - Keeps clinic reception and copy area neat and orderly at all times. Maintains Communication - Answers telephone calls within 3-4 rings. - Refers identified problems to appropriate staff member.
