Full Job Description: Apprentice Craftsperson (Transportation)Salary Grade: Hourly 8 | H-8 Tulsa Public Schools' existing salary schedules provide career increment adjustments based on education/experience and/or years of creditable service. Position Summary: The Apprentice Craftsperson will assist the Master Craftsperson with repairing diesel, gasoline, and alternative fueled district vehicles. Performs preventative maintenance under the guidance of a Craftsperson or Master Craftsperson. Minimum Qualifications:Education: • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience in lieu of education Experience: • Two (2) years' experience as a bus mechanic Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: • Must be able to pass a DOT physical • Must be willing to obtain Class A CDL • Must be willing to acquire a Class B CDL with Passenger and School bus endorsement • State of Oklahoma School Bus Driving Certificate, Air brake, and School bus endorsement About Our District: At Tulsa Public Schools, our mission is to inspire and prepare every student to love learning, achieve ambitious goals, and make positive contributions to our world.
