Our facility is a bustling hub of activity, with experienced panel beaters, mechanics, body builders, fabricators, spray painters, chassis aligners, and electricians working together as a cohesive team.The OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Panel Beater to join the team at Western Truck Repairs.As an Apprentice Panel Beater, you will work under the guidance of experienced Panel Beaters to learn the skills and techniques required to produce high-quality finishes on heavy vehicles.Role ResponsibilitiesAs an Apprentice Panel Beater at Western Truck Repairs, you will learn:Repairing and replacing damaged bodywork on trucks, buses, and trailers using welding and cutting techniques and specialized equipment.Disassembling vehicles.Labeling parts and storing them accordingly.Checking new parts are correct and not damaged.Reassembling vehicles as per Job Sheet.You will be required to:Follow all safety policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate PPE is worn at all times.Handle all company tools and equipment with due care and attention, ensuring they remain safe, clean, and in workable condition.Complete all course theory work by the due date as required.Does this sound like you?Willingness to learn and take direction: You will need to follow instructions from experienced staff and be open to learning new techniques and skills.Strong work ethic and reliability: We are looking for someone who will be punctual, dependable, and willing to work hard.Genuine desire, commitment, and enthusiasm to build a career in the heavy motor repair industry.We know that sometimes people need non-standard work hours and would be happy to discuss the options available in this role.BenefitsReward & recognition.Career development and training.Referral bonus for recommending a friend to work with us.Discounts on parts and tools.Uniforms.24/7 professional counselling for Team members and their immediate families.AMA Group is an equal opportunity employer.
