Become a part of our team of competent and compassionate professionals as an APRN in the Outpatient Psychiatry program at Behavioral Health Network! AnAdvanced Practice Nurseprovides psychiatric treatment to an outpatient population of children and or adults. Working as anAPRNat BHNprovides an exciting opportunity for an experienced psychiatric nurse practitioner to use their medical and psychiatric experience! This position providesOutpatient Psychiatriccare to clients across the life span while co-located within a medical setting. Outpatient Psychiatry Program Behavioral Health Networkis a growing non-profit community behavioral health agency that has been providing services to children, adults, families and communities in Western Massachusetts since 1938. BHN provides comprehensive, outcome-driven behavioral health care. We are dedicated to offering high quality, affordable and culturally appropriate care to people of all ages and income levels in our constituent communities. TheAdvanced Practice Nurseprovides psychiatric consultation to other BHN programs as needed. Full-time position includes flexible schedule options, extensive benefits package including time off for training and continuing education. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 2 years' experience providing psychiatric treatment as a Nurse Practitioner within an outpatient setting. Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Family Nurse Practitioner within a medical setting prior to completing specialty psychiatric training. Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred but not required. Qualifications: Providing comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluations with clinical formulations and recommendations based on sound clinical principles and judgment. Providing evaluation and prescription for psychopharmacology based on sound clinical theories and current standards of care.. Involving all pertinent family members/residential providers and other collateral contacts in treatment as appropriate. Providing comprehensive risk/crisis evaluations, and takes appropriate actions to keep individuals and others safe. Completing paperwork related to service in a quality and timely manner. Demonstrating willingness and ability to treat challenging and diverse individual populations. Verification of supervision by supervising psychiatrist as required by Massachusetts law. Master's Degree or higher in mental health nursing from an accredited college or university recognized by the National League for Nursing or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education required. Current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice at the highest level of independent practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
