This position is responsible for developing, organizing and implementing aquatic programs and maintaining a safe, hazard-free aquatics environment. This position supervises staff and volunteers and may manage community and vendor agreements and relationships.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in recreation, business, human services, social services, related field or equivalent work experience. Two to four years of experience in program management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency. Two years of aquatics related work experience. Minimum of one year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role. Demonstrated computer skills in a Microsoft Office or Google Workspace environment. Ability to direct programs through supervision of staff and volunteers, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, program development and fund-raising. Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations. Current Red Cross Lifeguard Certifications or equivalent - prior to starting if hired. This position usually works in an office, fitness, and/or aquatic oriented environment, but the mission of the organization may sometimes take them to non-standard workplaces.
