The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and maintaining positive customer relationships. Responsibilities:
Invoicing: Generate and dispatch accurate and timely invoices to customers. Verify that all relevant details, including product or service information, pricing, and terms, are included in the invoices. Payment Processing: Record and track payments received from customers. Reconcile payments with invoices and follow up on overdue payments. Customer Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to address billing inquiries. Provide assistance and clarification on invoice-related matters. Recordkeeping: Keep meticulous and well-organized records of all transactions, invoices, and payments. Update and maintain the accounts receivable ledger. Reporting: Generate regular reports on accounts receivable status for management. Provide financial reports to support decision-making processes. Credit Management: Evaluate customer creditworthiness and set appropriate credit limits. Monitor and review credit terms for existing customers. Construction Knowledge: Possess a strong construction knowledge and background to understand the intricacies of the industry. Collaboration: Collaborate with sales and customer service departments to address billing discrepancies. Work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues promptly. Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations. Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations impacting accounts receivable. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency. Implement best practices for streamlining invoicing and payment processes. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of accounts receivable policies and procedures. Assist in developing and updating policies for compliance and efficiency. Training: Provide training to staff members or departments on accounts receivable processes and best practices. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations. Proficient in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Strong construction knowledge and background.
