We asked a Project Architect, why they like doing this job for CP and his response was I cannot just name one or two things to describe why I like doing the job that I do at CP. There are many reasons; no two days are the same, and I get to use all the knowledge and experience I have acquired over the years in the A/E business as well as learn new things.
A Project Architect is responsible for implementing complex architectural projects, including Design, Construction Documents, Permitting, Bidding and Construction Administration. Included is coordination with other disciplines. Supervises and ensures team members are trained.
Requirements:
A Project Architect shall hold an active architectural license and shall have a minimum of 5-10 years' experience in a professional office. This position requires a complete understanding of building construction methods and techniques as well as the major model codes. Final responsibility for the technical quality and success of the project lies with the Project Architect II.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, able to handle stressful situations and multi-tasking, able to work under time constraints, long hours may be required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to handle stressful situations, multi-tasking, and working within reasonable time constraints to meet production schedules and budgets. Will work in normal office environment and may also be required to work outside of a normal office from time-to-time.
