The Role:Tend is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architect & Real Estate Manager to lead the real estate acquisition and architectural design efforts at Tend. This role will focus on the planning, design, acquisition, and management of dental studios across multiple markets, while keeping Tend on track to achieve annual growth targets. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in real estate and development within the healthcare industry, with a strong architectural foundation and a deep understanding of healthcare facility design standards and regulations. Responsibilities:
- Develop the studio layout and design for each de novo location.
- Lead the development and execution of real estate strategies for new healthcare facility acquisitions, expansions, relocations, and renovations.
- Partner with senior leadership to align real estate initiatives with the company's long-term growth objectives.
- Manage the end-to-end real estate development process, including site selection, due diligence, negotiation, planning, design, permitting, construction, and occupancy.
- Develop and manage budgets for real estate projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal healthcare regulations.
- Oversee the management and optimization of the organization's real estate portfolio
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Architectural license required.
- Strong architectural knowledge, including healthcare-specific design principles
- Proven experience managing complex multi-unit real estate projects from conception to completion.
- Strong project management skills, including proficiency with real estate and construction project management software.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-unit organizational environment.
- Travel 30% of the time.
