Job Title: Architectural DesignerJob DescriptionWork closely with the project design team and client team in each phase of the project delivery process. Contribute to all aspects and phases of the architectural design process. Assist in creating project schedules and budgets. Attend project meetings. Collaborate with a wide range of project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and design team consultants. Maintain and organize project files. Travel to and from project and client meetings as necessary.
Responsibilities- Work with design teams in the development of healthcare design projects from concepts to construction administration, with an emphasis on detailing and documentation.
- Demonstrate strong technical skills and contribute to an energetic and creative process.
- Assist in creating and managing project schedules and budgets.
- Attend and participate in project meetings.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and design team consultants to ensure project success.
- Maintain and organize project files efficiently.
- Travel to project and client meetings as required.
Essential Skills- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Master of Architecture from an accredited program.
- Relevant built work experience, with healthcare project experience considered a plus.
- Strong technical project detailing and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in documenting all phases of the design process.
- Excellent graphic and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Revit.
- Solid MS Office abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and mentor others.
- Exceptional client service orientation and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of Enscape and Adobe Suite preferred.
Work EnvironmentVery few employees are coming into the office frequently, with about 6-8 people a day. The majority of the 50+ person firm is working remotely. Employees are required to be in the office 3 days a week (Mondays required for meetings). During the first 6 months, employees are expected in the office 5 days a week. The company creates project teams for each job, allowing candidates to work on projects from design to completion and build relationships with clients. The company moved into a brand new Class A office space in Rockville in 2021, which offers free parking.
