Knickerbocker Group is a seeking highly motivated, creative and passionate Intern / Co-op to join our team in our Portland and/or Boothbay offices for their 2025 Internship / Co-Op. This individual will work under the supervision of an assigned Lead Architect to support various projects. The ideal candidate for this position will be a talented individual with an inquisitive and proactive mindset.If selected, the Intern/Co-op will:
- Participate in all phases of the design process.
- Provide technical support of the design concept.
- Conduct project specific code and zoning research.
- Support the production of permittable contract documents and deliverables.
- Prepare for client meetings and presentations.
- Generate 3D models and renderings.
The ideal candidate should:
- Have strong visual presentation and graphic skills.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills; be able to communicate designs verbally.
- Have strong organization and time management skills.
- Be self-motivated; work well under pressure; be able to work with minimal instruction for routine tasks.
- Understand the principles of sustainable design.
The ideal candidate must:
- Be working toward 5-year Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree.
- Be proficient in:
- Revit
- Microsoft Office
- Adobe Suite
- Have some experience using:
- AutoCAD
- Sketchup
- Hand drafting
- Procore, BIM 360, and 3D rendering would be a plus
LOCATIONOur Portland office is in walking distance from the vibrant Old Port, and our Boothbay office is a 10 minute drive from the quaint downtown Boothbay Harbor.
