Job Description
Our headquarters is searching for a seasoned Architectural Project Manager to administer and manage the project process. Our PMs work independently on various projects as assigned by vice president of operations or principal-in-charge to administer and manage the project process in conjunction with architectural and/or interior design leaders. May work on several concurrent projects. Acts as a knowledge resource to less experienced staff. The champion for their project(s) responsible as a primary client contact throughout the project life cycle from project pursuit to project construction completion. Duties focus on the work of project administration with the goals of client satisfaction, project resource management and project financial performance.

- Assists principal-in-charge and lead architect/interior designer with securing project; building project team both internally and externally with consultants; initial scheduling; determining required project resources; writing proposals; identification of the client's expectations for quality, price and schedule; and interviewing for projects as may be required.
- Manages project contracts, both letter proposal and AIA contracts, with clients and consultants.
- Creates and manages the project design milestone schedule and design construction budgets with assistance from project design team leader.
- Manages their project accounts payable and invoicing process for the length of the project stage.
- Primary responsibility to lead project through the transition stages of the project – pursuit, contracting, design, construction administration, project turn-over, client de-brief, staff de-brief.
- During the design phase, maintains contact with the client, attends all client design meetings and keeps the principal-in-charge apprised of design development as well as any decisions that may affect the design schedule and budget.
- Prepares or reviews construction budgets based on experience and scope of project.
- Performs various project coordination duties: may assist project design lead or principal-in-charge in project analysis, programming, site analysis and various design efforts; with design team leader, coordinates activities of all professional disciplines assigned to the project.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Architectural Technology degree; Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree (from an NAAB-accredited School of Architecture preferred); or relevant Engineering degree required.
- Minimum 10 years relevant work experience as an architectural project manager to include coordination of multiple projects, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Registered Architect preferred.
- NCARB certification a plus but not required.
