Safety: - Enforces use of proper safety equipment and adherence to company Safety policies to ensure work is performed in a safe manner
- Reports and assist with investigation for all incidents (spills, near-misses, accidents, etc.) within Area
Quality: - Ensures compliance with internal Quality standards
- Leads assigned team in ISO compliance and assist with root cause identification and corrective actions
- Provides requested input on CAR investigations
Delivery: - Allocates resources (staffing, materials, etc.) within assigned team to ensure attainment of production schedule for Area
Continuous Improvement: - Works on projects (CI, A3, Kaizen, etc.) as assigned by Shift Supervisor
- Owns issue resolution at the Tier 1 level
- Leads daily Tier 1 meeting; attends daily Tier 2 meeting
- Owner of CI and Tier 1 board and associated metrics
People: - Participates/provides input to Shift Supervisor for hiring and termination actions for his/her assigned team; participates in interviews
- Entry/Review of Employee timecard records
- Preparation of Employee Performance Reviews
- Owns Cross-Training within assigned Area; identifies high potential Operators within Team who could learn other Areas
- Owns successful transition of new Operators received from Ops Training
- Coaches/mentors/develops Operators within assigned Area
Other: - Maintains communication with Shift Supervisor
- Institutes company changes as directed by the Shift Supervisor
- Participates on committees, cross-functional projects, etc. as assigned
Qualifications: Education, Experience and Knowledge: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience. Basic business computer skills required (Microsoft Office etc.). Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) are required. Manufacturing experience is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations: Have the ability to become certified on: - Forklift operation
