For more information, please visit www.igt.com.The Electrical Engineer II at IGT plays a critical role in designing and refining electrical components and systems for gaming products. This position involves working on projects from conceptualization to final implementation, supporting product development and solving semi-complex design challenges. The role also contributes to product modifications, enhancements, and compliance with established performance specifications, ensuring IGT's products maintain their high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Contributes to the design, development, and refinement of electrical systems and components for gaming products.
  • Engages in various aspects of engineering design projects, including:
    • Conceptual design, design capture, and layout.
    • Prototype development, testing, and debugging to final design and release.
    • Circuit board design, PCB layout, product modifications, and enhancements.
  • Conducts technical analyses to evaluate and define electronics functionality for assigned products and systems.
  • Completes semi-routine engineering tasks to design and optimize electronics for performance and reliability.
  • Identifies and resolves technical challenges while supporting the selection of appropriate design solutions for products or components.
  • Develops or participates in the development of electrical engineering solutions that adhere to established product specifications and functionality.
  • Contributes to new and modified product designs and semi-routine fixes.
  • Assists with regulatory interactions to ensure products meet compliance requirements.
  • Escalates technical issues or requests to senior team members or mid-management for resolution when needed.
  • Provides input into updates or modifications to electrical engineering standards to improve design processes.
  • Mentors less experienced personnel by providing guidance and support on technical tasks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Requires 3 to 4 years of experience in technical circuit and product design.
  • Demonstrates full competence in a specific electrical engineering discipline or product area.
  • Advanced basic knowledge and skills in:
    • Electronics design
    • Circuit design
    • PCB layout
    • Embedded controls
    • Programmable logic
    • Emissions
  • Proficient in using relevant engineering design tools and workflows for developing and refining electrical systems.

These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $50,482/yr - $115,000/yr. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable. Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
