Job Description:

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for specifying and securing orders individually for assigned territory and accounts and to assist in coordination of sales/marketing support activity where appropriate with the North America sales team. His/her role is to grow and increase the Chloride share of key market sector business, to identify and develop opportunities to sell UPS products, and where possible promote complimentary products and services to the Industrial vertical sector market.

Scope of Role:

Become the go-to person for existing customers:

Keep in touch with all assigned customers and reach out to them on a regular basis; gather feedback on current projects, discuss new opportunities, present new products/ solutions, set presentations and facilitate any further discussions with any additional company technical experts.

Set the development pace inside the company:

Identify and contact new potential customers in assigned industries/markets, discuss with them about how we can bring value to their organization, show success stories and how we have created them, and discuss new business opportunities that are in alignment with the customer's development and investment plans.

Contribute to teamwork and knowledge sharing inside the team and organization:

Maintain and update Salesforce reporting system, run scheduled reports and present analysis, participate in team meetings, and share your customer experiences, share new knowledge you gather about the market, competitors and challenges you have faced. Share your point of view about industry development and its future.

Focus on self-growth and development:

Keep an open mind and learn from some of the best experts in the industry. Participate in industry events and acquire knowledge of where the market is going. Keep up to date with technical developments and participate in sales trainings and apply the knowledge in your day-to-day work.

Be innovative:

Bring your own ideas for improvements inside the team, look at each process and task with the goal of constantly improving it to bring more value to the customer, to you, the team and the organization.

Own their job:

Approach your daily work and customers with ethics, responsibility, discipline and ownership, knowing that everything you do has an impact on the customers, the company and your development. Sales activities, related administrative activities, reporting and your own development are all important and lead to your success in the role.

Profile:

Education: Required College Degree from accredited institution, preferred Electrical or Electronic Engineering Degree

Experience:

3-5+ years previous experience in the sale of AC Power, Charger and UPS systems.

Experience in a B2B based technical product sales environment including design, project management and service solution competencies is required.

Must be knowledgeable of Industrial EPC Industry and understand project sales cycles.

Background in equipment or service parts sales for a manufacturer or service provider selling in the electrical or utility markets is highly preferred.
