Here at AmeriGuard Security we are looking for Armed Security Officer. This position is responsible for deterring criminal activity by adhering to a facility's security measures. Their duties include reviewing video surveillance equipment to identify odd behaviors, patrolling the interior and exterior of a property in set intervals and only providing property access to authorized individuals.We are seeking candidates who are ready to embark in a career in Security. The Security Training will be provided by and at The Training Point, Inc. In Laurel Maryland.120-Hour training classes will START ON Sunday March 6th at The Training Point in Laurel MD at 154 Lafayette Ave Laurel MD 20707. Schedule for all classes are below.Applicant Qualification Process will start at 0900 hrs. on the first day of the scheduled security training scheduled course see the general qualifications and documentation necessary to bring on the first day.General requirements to be eligible:
- Be a United States citizen;
- Have either a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma from an accredited institution recognized by U.S Department of Education
- Two years of security experience or two years of Military experience or Law enforcement.
- Associates degree in security related field - Or have 60 hours of college credits
- Armed Forces, National Guard or Reserve service.
- Must have Maryland Security Guard Certification Card
- Must have Maryland Permit to carry a Handgun Card
- Must be able to pass Government back ground and receive a clearance MBI
- Must be able to pass a physical and a drug screen, Vo2 max, hearing, vision
- Must be able to pass A-9 course of fire on the range with a 9mm.
- QUALIFIED APPLICANTS must attend all 120-hours of the Security Training provided by the contractor (AmeriGuard Security) to be eligible to work on this SSA Government Contract (pre-employment training will be paid if qualified and meet all requirements at minimum wages.

Salary:
- $33.00 Per Hour and $0.50 Per Hour for shift differential.
- $5.00 Per Hour Health &Welfare allowance to be used towards Health Insurance or 401K
- $0.50 Per Hour for 401K contribution
- 80-160 Hours of Vacation
- 7-10 days Paid Holidays
- 7-10 Paid Sick Leave Days
- If you have Health Insurance the $5.00 Per Hour goes to your 401K PLUS Employees receive 75 cents Per Hour for 401k pension.
