Job Description:
Major Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities: Perform physical patient assessment by attaining medical histories, examining, and treating patients of all ages. Order and evaluate diagnostic testing. Identify proper diagnosis and create appropriate plan of care. Treat minor injuries by suturing and splinting. Provide immediate evaluation and treatment in response to emergency medical problems. Initiate referrals to other practitioners or admit patients where appropriate. Monitor patient progress, instruct, and counsel patients, and order or carry out therapy. May be responsible for managerial duties, such as ordering medical supplies or equipment and supervising medical technicians and assistants. Provide leadership and guidance to clinic staff. Incorporate quality improvement data and/or patient satisfaction data in clinic goals. Demonstrate a clear understanding of regulations applicable to patient care and/or other clinic functions. Attain all agreed to goals and objectives within specified time frames. Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment. Skills, Education and Experience: Master's degree in Nursing and hold current certification ARNP. Licensed to practice as RN in the state of Iowa.
