ECS is seeking a ARPA-H Genetic/Neuroscience Advisor to work in our Remote office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon [contract award].Job Description:Are you a passionate Genetics/Neuroscience Advisor ready to support the leading edge of scientific and health care advancements in the Federal Government today?ECS is seeking talented and driven professionals to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). In this role, you will serve as a scientific and technical advisor to ARPA-H-enabling the agency to manage and provide oversight to advanced R&D efforts; help shape future R&D concepts, programs, and solutions; integrate and advance our nation's health care ecosystem processes, policies, and enabling technologies; and enable the agency to expand its health care and scientific scope into yet unknown areas. As a systems engineering and technical assistance advisor, you will provide support and thought leadership to R&D performer teams, Government Program Managers, and stakeholders across the health innovation ecosystem. This role supports the Proactive Health Office (PHO).What you will do:Serve as a genetics/neuroscience advisor:
  • Advising and guiding program initiatives related to genetics and neuroscience for PHO.
  • Experience and knowledge working in muscle biology, molecular or cell biology.
Stay current with scientific advancements:
  • Actively track and analyze new research findings in this field.
  • Identify and propose emerging methodologies and technologies that could enhance the program's progress.
  • Participate in scientific discussions and presentations, contributing your expertise to the program's overall knowledge base.
Collaborate effectively within a diverse team:
  • Build strong relationships with computational scientists, engineers, and other scientific advisors involved in the program.
  • Communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and problem-solving exercises to drive the program forward.
Salary Range: $100,000-$180,000
  • Ph.D. in Genetics, Molecular Medicine or similar field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience
  • Demonstrably strong expertise in genetics or neuroscience
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and write scientific reports.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and a passion for health care and scientific discovery.
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required per contract.
