The position supports the Art department.Provide instructors with equipment and supplies essential to teaching.Maintain studios in a clean and safe manner by properly storing and disposing of hazardous materials. Maintain the MSDS online database.Organize, inventory and order supplies for art classes and artist workshops and enter into computer software.Frame and mount artwork for the Waubonsee Student Art Purchase Collection.Assist with visiting artists, workshops, and classroom needs.Train work study students.Prepare artwork for travel and delivery to exhibit locations.Assist in set up and take down of exhibitions.Monitor the photo labs and open studios.Assist in creating event fliers and distribution.Create recruiting materials and participate in recruiting events.Assist students with matting, framing and scanning of artwork for exhibits.Maintain equipment and instrumentation for art studio/lab (e.g., help maintain calibration of computers and printers in digital lab, checking chemical amounts for film processing, mixing film chemistry as needed, supplying enlarging stations).
