Job Description

Sewickley Academy is seeking a Lower School Art Teacher for a long-term assignment to cover the period from early May 2025 to early June 2025, with the possibility of an extension through September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with young children and fostering creativity and self-expression through art.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate art lessons for Lower School students (grades K-5).
• Provide instruction in various media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can explore and develop their artistic skills.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents as needed.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Education is required with an emphasis in Art or Art Education strongly preferred.
