Job Title: AI Tech Lead
Location: Hybrid Remote Iselin, NJ or New York, NY (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Job Overview:
- We are seeking a Tech Lead capable of managing our AI innovation projects. Currently, we are focused on developing an internal AI Chatbot solution, with plans to expand into other AI initiatives in the future.
- This role is techno-functional, requiring minimal coding but direct collaboration with the business team and corporate leaders. We seek an individual with excellent communication skills who can effectively engage with stakeholders and represent the IT team as an Ambassador of AI to business and corporate leaders.
- While coding demands are low, we require candidates with a robust background in software development, architectural understanding, and AI knowledge. The Tech Lead will leverage these skills to guide the team through various AI projects.
- Our current team comprises 5 Software Engineers and a dedicated offshore team. We are specifically seeking a Technical Lead, not necessarily a Manager.
- Proficiency in Python is essential as it serves as the primary language of the platform. Additionally, candidates must possess a strong foundation in AI solutions, with at least 2 years of experience developing AI systems from inception to production.
- This is a hybrid role, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week. The Tech Lead can choose to report from either our New York City or Iselin, NJ office, depending on convenience.
- Overall, candidates should meet at least 4 of the following core requirements: 1) 2+ years of AI experience, 2) Strong Python development skills, 3) Excellent communication abilities, and, 4) Technical leadership skills
Soft Skills:
- Very Good in Verbal and Written communication
- Should have Technical Team Management skills in a Tech Lead/Dev Manager capacity.
- Ability to conduct meetings involving business stakeholders.
- Ability to comfortably interact with execs/sr. management.
- Self-Motivated/Self Driven
Technical Skills:
- AI Enthusiast
- Should have a few years of hands-on Python experience.
- Should have experience with AI APIs like Chat GPT / Gemini / Perplexity
- Should have experience experimenting with Local LLMs like LLAMA or Mistral.
- Should have good knowledge and experience in Embeddings / Vector DB
- Should have experience building applications involving AI/ML or Gen AI
- Ability to evaluate various models and tools.
- Strong technologist who can propose/review architecture and review team output.
- Bonus: Experience in AI/ML (in addition to Gen AI)
