Job Summary
This position is responsible for monitoring the daily production of wells and production rates in order to optimize production by eliminating inefficiencies present in field production operations. This position is responsible for troubleshooting most production operation problems except those requiring engineering assistance.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
* Monitors daily production of wells, troubleshoots and communicates corrective actions taken to fix problems with wells
* Provides complex technical information using analytical tools and well files to provide solutions to production problems
* Train lower level field personnel including Production Technicians, Lease Operators and Optimizers
* Act as field technician lead when collaborating with Engineers
* Collect and analyze data from lease operator, foreman, and SCADA to locate production problems
* Uses critical thinking skills to analyze and solve complex failures and maintenance issues
* Identifies well intervention opportunities and maintains maintenance schedule
* Identifies potential solutions to increase production rates
* Coordinates with other production foreman, lease operators, and third party specialists to ensure daily operations and well work are properly supervised
* Reviews project cost and increased production
* Organizes and supervises personnel, equipment, and materials to begin and maintain artificial lift projects
* Handle lower level Foreman duties as assigned
* Collaborate with Production Foreman and substitute for them in times of absence
* Perform other duties as assigned

* Advanced knowledge of Artificial Lift Systems & Chemical programs
* Advanced knowledge of well construction and completion
* Advanced understanding of surface facilities and operation
* Ability to oversee Intermediate workover operations
* Advanced knowledge of oil and gas industry
* Ability to perform on the job training
* Ability to provide timely response to operational needs, while maintaining quality of work
* Advanced ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution
Education & Experience
Minimum: High school diploma or GED and 5 - 8 years related work experience or an equivalent substitution for education of 9 - 12 years related work experience
Additional Qualifications
Ability to possess a valid drivers license
