Job SummaryThe Artistic Education Pathways Administrator works with the Director of Fine Arts in the organization to create the district's visual and performing arts and other non-athletic extracurricular programs (Appy Institute). This position will work with the Dual Credit Director to develop dual credit programs for High School Students and faculty for student career experiential opportunities. This position will oversee all aspects of the Appalachian Arts & Entertainment Awards. In addition, manages all messaging and supports internal and external communications to ensure the success of the BSCTC/MAC programs and positively enhance the visibility of the College. Job Duties:
  • Collaborate with BSCTC departments and programs to develop and implement hands-on learning opportunities in the arts, music, and entertainment industries.
  • Organize student involvement with local school systems through field trips, workshops, and hands-on learning experiences, leveraging these activities as recruitment tools for BSCTC.
  • Work closely with BSCTC Dual Credit personnel to explore and coordinate potential classes related to the arts.
  • Oversee the coordination of work study students and internships for the Fine Arts Department and the Mountain Arts Center, ensuring meaningful experiences for students.
  • Collaborate with the Music Education department to establish music and arts pathways with other higher education institutions, enhancing student opportunities.
  • Plan and produce 1-2 choral and/or band showcases (K-12, post-secondary) and 2-4 educational school shows as recruitment tools for BSCTC, promoting the college's artistic programs.
  • Organize and coordinate educational summer camps in collaboration with BSCTC Fine Arts and the Mountain Arts Center, fostering artistic development.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Arts Administration, Arts Management, Music, Theater, Arts, and 2 years related work experience. Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Arts Administration, Arts Management, Music, Theater, Arts, and 3 years related work experience.Additional Skills Requested:Knowledge of overall operations of music, art, theater, pathways, and non-athletic extracurricular programs.Knowledge of marketing and media strategies.Communication skills both verbal and written to inform and persuade donors, and community members. Project management skills in time management, scheduling and coordinating events.Administrative skills related to budgets, performance evaluation, and coordination of events/programming.
