Job Description:
Job Description Our client is a renowned ambulatory surgical center with a team of world-class surgeons, seeking an experienced ASC Administrator to oversee operations and ensure the highest standards of patient care and administrative excellence. Responsibilities:
  • Operational Leadership:
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the surgery center, ensuring seamless functioning and compliance with healthcare standards.
    • Manage both professional and non-professional staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
    • Build strong working relationships with the Medical Director, patients, families, physicians, their staff, and the community.
  • Financial Management:
    • Prepare, monitor, and present annual budgets for the department, focusing on revenue performance and budgetary variances.
    • Support key revenue cycle functions, including scheduling, insurance verification, co-pay collection, charge capture, and referral management.
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimize billing practices and enhance revenue collection.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Quality Improvement:
    • Stay informed on regulatory and professional standards, ensuring the surgery center maintains full compliance.
    • Use creative approaches to develop and implement quality and performance improvement programs.
    • Utilize tracer methodology tools to identify areas for improvement and develop corrective action plans.
  • Program Development and Coordination:
    • Plan and support program development within the department/division, coordinating administrative functions and aligning them with growth objectives.
    • Manage space allocation, technology procurement, data planning, and the development of goals and objectives.
    • Serve as a liaison with administration, planning and evaluating operational processes and adapting to market changes.
  • Human Resources Management:
    • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate clinical and non-clinical personnel, ensuring efficient role execution.
    • Oversee staff scheduling, including vacations and holidays, to ensure adequate coverage.
    • Encourage staff growth by providing opportunities for professional development and advancement.
  • Technology and Operations Enhancement:
    • Identify and implement technological solutions to improve operational efficiency.
    • Maintain accurate records of departmental budgets, capital equipment requests, and operational programs.
    • Coordinate and oversee residency and fellowship programs, ensuring compliance with educational standards.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Act as a liaison between physicians, patients, visitors, and staff, fostering a positive and productive environment.
    • Coordinate resources across multiple administrative disciplines to prioritize program needs effectively.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in business administration, Health Care Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital perioperative setting, with a strong background in revenue cycle management.
  • Strong fiscal management abilities and experience in budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of addressing queries from patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Ability to collaborate with administrative leadership, clinical chairs, and physicians to develop and manage clinical programs.
