Acts in compliance with NYC Health + Hospitals, health care setting, and other appropriate regulatory requirements and patient safety standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Selects appropriate software and imaging parameters, when positioning and adjusting equipment to encompass the area to be studied and produce optimal diagnostic imaging quality. 2. Performs more advanced ultrasound procedures on patients. Deviates from the normal ultrasound examination to complete the procedure, when necessary. 3. Assists physicians and other health care personnel by providing information regarding the nature, scheduling or results of procedures performed within the Ultrasound Department. Minimum Qualifications 1. Valid certification in Sonography issued by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); and 2.
