Job Summary:

We are currently looking for an Asphalt Plant Scale/Loadout person for the Portland Metro area!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Operate truck scales through computer terminal

Answer telephones and wait on customers

Assist plant operator as needed

May need to drive to different jobsites within the day

Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed.

Collect and reconcile daily cash sales

Communicate with internal and external customers with daily orders and needs

Track inventories of incoming and outgoing products

Ability and desire to work in a high-pressure environment

Other duties assigned as needed

This position will include nights and weekend shifts during the paving season. This position will include travel between plants as needed by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Aptitude for dealing with customers, sales, and problem solving in a high-pressure environment.

Ability to operate computer terminal and manage multiple tasks at the same time

Legible handwriting, good organizational, communication, math and writing skills

Must be people oriented, able to provide exceptional customer service, empathetic and flexible

Previous scale experience a plus

Knowledge of market area and previous construction experience helpful

Must have good math skills and the ability to work with statistical specifications with a high degree of accuracy

Must have a positive attitude and the ability to work well with others

Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and customers

Ability and desire to work in a high-pressure environment

Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test
