- ASSEMBLER - DAY & NIGHT shifts available $2000 Sign on bonus for new candidates An assembler is a professional who aims to be as efficient and consistent as possible when putting together a product. They are responsible for packaging finished goods, recording items that do not meet product quality and palletizing product. Assemblers should verify and maintain quality control standards. This position requires you to be on your feet for most of the day. The employee may have to lift objects/equipment up to 40 lbs. and overhead 25 lbs. Physical movements necessary to perform this job are lifting, turning, twisting, safety gate operation, reaching, pulling, pushing, and clutching. **Assemblers are highly suggested and can avoid potential injuries if they follow the safety warm-up program designed for this position** The ideal candidate will have:
- Ability to focus on work standards and achieve daily production expectations
- Work with a quality mindset working to zero defects and scrap
- Maintain acceptable level attendance performance as outlined in the employee handbook
- Work extended hours and weekends when necessary
- Work in areas other than assembly when required
- Maintain accurate inventory control by following all the PMC best practices
- Maintain neat and hazard-free work and break areas
- Assemble products in accordance with tools provided (Sample, Job Sheets, etc.)
- Package finished products according to pallet profile and/or job sheet
- Palletize finished products according to the Job Sheet
- Continuously Record Scrap
- Move materials manually or with pallet jacks
- Quality Control: Inspects for damaged goods; verifies quantity and quality of order; verifies items received with invoice and purchase order
- Communicate information effectively with co-workers from all shifts
- Clean and maintain work/common areas
- Participate in team meetings
Additional qualifications that will help you be successful in this role: - High School Diploma required and/or equivalent work experience
- Excellent records of attendance, safety, and performance evaluations
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Must have basic math skills; abilities may be tested
- Must be willing to; cooperate and show respect to fellow members, share ideas to improve the work process, listen and act on feedback, & accept greater work responsibility
- Temporary personnel must have 720 hours worked to be eligible
- Ability to work with individuals or groups
- Strong communication & organizational skills
- The person must have good motor skills
